Fr. Tom McGahee's Page
Fr. Tom McGahee is a high school electronics teacher who
frequently posts on PICLIST. He has written a number of
tutorials and code samples that have proven to be quite
useful to many people. I've set up this page as a way to
help him make these files more widely available. All are
free for anyone to use. Please write to me if you have any
questions about or problems with this page, or to Fr. Tom
(his email address is in the files) if you have questions
about the contents of these files and documents. Fr. Tom also has
made some of these files available here
and here.

- Picuart.zip
"contains a combination assembly file and turorial that covers
all the hairy details of using the built-in UART found in many
PIC micros. It appears from the feedback that I have gotten that
it works will ALL the MID and HIGH range PIC micros. Even people
who already have code up and running should read the comments
in the file, as they point out subtle pitfalls that may only
rear their heads later on when they make a seemingly innocuous
change to their code."
